The square or 90-degree aspect is a blend of the principles of Taurus and Scorpio (Earth and Water), as well as the 4th and 10th House principles in pure mathematical Astrology.

Throughout history the Square Aspect has been thought of as being a bad or difficult Aspect to have in your Horoscope and as well as having Aspects by transit.

The Square is not a bad Aspect if it's purpose is understood. Many opportunities can also be presented with the challenges that come with the Square Aspect. But most people feel a great deal of stress when experiencing a Square Aspect.

The Square could be a very advantageous Aspect to the bachelor or bachelorette who gives up the single lifestyle and marries into a wealth producing relationship. But the Square Aspects could also cause an in-love teenager to get pregnant even though they were using a condom.
